Symphonic Band

 

The Symphonic Band begins practice in the late fall once the marching season has begun to wrap and continues the remainder of the year. This group gives several concerts and attends a concert festival in the spring. The Symphonic Band performs difficult GMEA grade 4 and grade 5 literature. Each student may be required to spend up to two hours a week practicing after school in a section/full band rehearsal to perform with the group. Membership is determined by audition and not by grade level or any other factors. Auditions are held each spring for the upcoming year. Membership in this band the precursing year NEVER guarantees membership the next year.
