Wind Ensemble

 

The Wind Ensemble begins practice in the early fall once the marching music has been learned and continues the remainder of the year. This group gives several concerts and attends a concert festival in the spring. The Wind Ensemble performs very challenging GMEA grade 6 and master work literature. Each student may be required to spend up to two hours a week practicing after school in a section/full band rehearsal to perform with the group. Membership is determined by audition and not by grade level or any other factors. Auditions are held each spring for the upcoming year. Membership in this band the precursing year NEVER guarantees membership the next year.
